The HTC has been plagued by component shortages, which has prevented it from achieving its market potential so far. However, we are finally starting to receive reports that HTC is catching up with the production the ultrapixel camera and the voice coil motor, which will result in improved availability of the smartphone over the next few months.
According to J.P. Morgan Securities HTC's Q2 revenue may rise by 50% compared to the numbers from the disastrous past quarter. The brokerage firm expects the HTC One sales to play a huge part in this, with the Taiwanese company expected to ship about 1.2 million units this month and over 2 million in May.
HTC One launched in March in just few countries and was only able to sell about 300,000 units so far. That's a really disappointing number, considering the huge demand for the sleek looking powerhouse. It seems though that HTC will do much better in the upcoming months, even though it will face increased competition from the Galaxy S4, which is just about to hit the shelves.
