We’ve said it time and again, and now it looks like the South Korean smartphone maker is finally beginning to notice as well. The company which gave us the highly successful smartphones like the Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy Note 2, is now reportedly worried about the design and build quality of it’s smartphones.
Sam Mobile, which has almost always been spot-on with it’s Samsung-related information has now said that the global success of HTC One in terms of it’s design and build quality has left Samsung worried about the design and build quality of it’s own devices. Even though the Galaxy S range of flagship devices and the Note series has been a huge hit world over, but they have constantly been criticized for their cheap, plasticy build.
According to the report, Samsung has no issues on the software front and it feels that it’s Nature UI is quite easy to use and the new features included in the Galaxy S4 only makes it better. However, the Galaxy S4 left a lot of people disappointed as well, as Samsung still used plastic plastic instead of aluminium.
In sheer terms of build quality and design, the Samsung Galaxy S4 is no match to it’s rivals like the Apple iPhone 5, HTC One or even the Sony Xperia Z. The website says that the metal design for the Samsung Galaxy S4 was very popular internally, but possible delays in the mass-production of the smartphone forced Samsung to drop the idea.
