LAVA Mobiles to launch the E Tab Xtron tablet in the Indian market

LAVA Mobiles plans to introduce the E Tab Xtron tablet in the Indian market.






The tablet will be powered by 1 GHz qualcomm snapdragon processor and have 7 inch screen. The E Tab Xtron tablet will function on Android 4.0 ice cream sandwich platform.

It will pack in 512 MB RAM and an internal memory of 4 GB. The tablet will support dual camera and 3G.


Lava will soon be launching a 7-inch WVGA tablet with 3G voice calling. The tablet is expected to run on Android 4.0 ICS and have a 1GHz processor.
Lava announces 7-inch 1GHz E-Tab tablet with 3G voice calling

Lava Mobile has announced it will be launching a 7-inch Android 4.0 ICS tablet in the coming weeks, in its E-Tab range. So far, no exact pricing or availability details have been released about the as yet unnamed device, but with the specifications on display, we can expect it to be around the Rs. 5,000 price point.

A 1GHz processor and 512MB of RAM will power the upcoming Lava tablet. The rear of the tablet has a 2MP camera and the front has a VGA camera for video calling. It also houses a 3000mAh battery. Itwill also come with 4GB built-in storage.

Lava recently launched a dual-core tablet running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for Rs. 6,499. Christened the E-Tab Xtron the device has a dual-core 1.5GHz Cortex A9 processor and quad-core Mali-400 graphics, coupled with 1GB of RAM. The Lava E-Tab Xtron’s 7-inch IPS display has a resolution of 1024x600 pixels, not too bad for a budget 7-inch device. The tablet features 8GB of built-in storage, of which 5GB will be user available – microSD expandability up to 32GB is also supported.

Other specs of the Lava E-Tab Xtron include a 2MP front-facing camera, Wi-Fi connectivity, 3G connectivity via USB dongle, and a USB port. Weighing in at 350 grams, the E-Tab Xtron is 11.5mm thick, and features a 3500mAh battery, which will reportedly provide up to 3-4 hours of usage with Wi-Fi on.

The upcoming Lava tablet will be one of many tablets that can house a SIM card and boast of voice calling capabilities.
